We gather in a different city each year with activist members, local human rights organizations, and international guests to organize, motivate, and educate ourselves in our work to combat international human rights violations. The AGM rotates geographically each year to encourage participation by all regions of membership. It shifts to the East Coast in the year 2000 to Providence, Rhode Island. The dates, March 10-12, 2000, present an opportunity for AIUSA to recognize International Women's Day on the full scale of a national meeting. Last year's AGM took place in Minneapolis drawing over 600 activists. Next year, AGM 2001 will move to Nashville, Tennessee with a focus on youth in the new millennium.
