Jessica Evans

Jessica Evans has been a long-time member and supporter of AIUSA, previously serving as Area Coordinator for Kentucky and a member of the Nominating Committee. A Memphis, TN native, Jessica has been involved in civil and human rights activism since high school through a life-long commitment to fighting injustice and inequality. Jessica is the Director of Assessment and Accreditation at Murray State University in Kentucky, where she also worked as a member of the faculty teaching undergraduate communication courses. Additionally, she has been responsible for curriculum development and instruction for an interdisciplinary seminar on the death penalty and human rights. Jessica received her EdD in Educational Psychology and Technology with a concentration in Higher Education Learning from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Jessica is also active in national, local, and university service. She serves as the Vice President of Staff Congress and a member of the Black Faculty and Staff Association at Murray State University. Jessica is also a member of the board for the Kentucky Association for Institutional Research (KAIR), serves on the 4-H Youth Development Council, is an Infrastructure Committee member for the Association for Assessment of Learning in Higher Education (AALHE), and is a member of the WKMS Community Board, a local NPR affiliate. She has also served as the inaugural vice chair for the City of Murray Human Rights Commission and past board chair for the Western Kentucky American Red Cross where she was honored as a Clara Barton Award recipient.
