Laura Rusu

Laura Rusu is the Senior Director for Media Relations based in Washington, DC. She is an activist, a mom, a refugee, and a passionate professional with experience developing and executing multi-issue communications strategies to drive bold mission-driven agendas. After college, Laura moved to DC for an internship with AIUSA, an experience that helped launch and shape her career ever since. She is thrilled to be back at the organization with the skills and experience she has garnered since, including almost two decades of media, advocacy, and communications work at Oxfam America. Laura has a BA in French and Political Science from Indiana University and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. She is fluent in French and Romanian.
